Accessibility
Statement
Atascadero Chamber of Commerce / Atascadero Lakeside WineFest · Last Updated: March 2026
Everyone is welcome at the WineFest. The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce is committed to ensuring that the Atascadero Lakeside WineFest, both our website and our in-person festival, is welcoming and accessible to all guests, including those with disabilities. We continually work to improve the experience for everyone.

Our Commitment
The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to providing an inclusive experience for all visitors to our website and attendees of the Atascadero Lakeside WineFest. We believe that accessibility is not a feature; it is a fundamental right.
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, physical, cognitive, and neurological conditions.

Website Accessibility Features
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility on our website:
-
Keyboard Navigation: All core features of our site can be navigated using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse.
-
Text Alternatives: We provide descriptive alt text for images and meaningful labels for interactive elements.
-
Color Contrast: We aim for sufficient contrast between text and background colors to meet WCAG AA standards.
-
Resizable Text: Text on our pages can be resized using browser settings without loss of content or functionality.
-
Descriptive Link Text: Links are written to be descriptive and understandable out of context for screen reader users.
-
Semantic HTML: Our pages use proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions to aid navigation with assistive technologies.
-
Accessible Forms: Contact and registration forms include visible labels and clear error messaging.
Physical Venue Accessibility
The Atascadero Lakeside WineFest takes place at Atascadero Lake Park (9305 Pismo Avenue, Atascadero, CA). We are committed to making the in-person festival experience as accessible as possible for all guests.
Please note that portions of the festival may have terrain or path limitations. We encourage guests with specific mobility needs to contact us in advance so we can best prepare to accommodate you.

Known Limitations
While we work hard to meet accessibility standards, our website is built on the Wix platform and uses third-party tools for ticketing (my805tix) and email marketing (Constant Contact). Some areas of the site or integrated tools may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, including:
-
Certain embedded third-party ticket purchase flows, which are controlled by our ticketing partners
-
Some older photo gallery images which may lack complete alt text descriptions
-
Embedded social media feeds and video content, which are governed by the accessibility policies of their respective platforms
We are actively working to address these limitations and encourage our third-party partners to meet the same accessibility standards we uphold.

Feedback & Reporting Issues
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website and festival. If you encounter any accessibility barriers, please let us know. Your input is invaluable in helping us improve.
When reporting an issue, it is helpful to include:
-
The specific page or feature where you experienced difficulty
-
The assistive technology or browser you were using
-
A brief description of the issue or barrier encountered
We aim to respond to all accessibility-related feedback within 2 business days and to resolve substantive issues within 30 days where possible.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We regularly:
-
Review our website for accessibility issues and make improvements
-
Monitor feedback from users with disabilities to prioritize meaningful fixes
-
Work with the Wix platform and our vendors to improve third-party accessibility
-
Assess our festival venue and operations each year for physical accessibility improvements
